Mango fruits are abundant in polyphenolic compounds such as mangiferin, penta- O-galloyl-glucosidegallic acid, ellagic acid and methyl gallate. These polyphenols may be beneficial in fighting free radicals. Carotenoids like lutein, alpha-carotene and beta-carotene are also present in the Mango.*
