Grapes are fruiting berries which typically grow in clusters of 15 to 300, and can vary in color from crimson, black, dark blue, yellow, green, orange, to pink.
Concord Grapes (Vitis labrusca) are more aromatic than other grapes and like other blue and purple fruits, provide health-promoting polyphenols that may not be found in other colors of fruits and vegetables.
Studies suggest that these plant nutrients act as antioxidants to help support healthy cholesterol, a healthy heart and immune system. A chemical present in Concord grapes, methyl anthranilate, is used to give "grape" flavor.*
