Anaheim, CA March 9-11: Engredea 2012 smashed attendance records and saw exciting developments in the field of nutrition and the supplement industry. NP Nutra^® launched our brand new signature ingredients: BettaBerries^® Antioxidant Blend and Green Balance Alkalizing Blend^®, at the Innovation Station on Saturday afternoon, where we blended fresh smoothies and handed out free samples and product information to hundreds of trade show attendees.

What are these new signature ingredients? BettaBerries® Antioxidant Blend is an all berry blend of superberry superstars like Acai, Maqui, Blueberry, Blackberry, Acerola, Goji, Raspberry and more. Green Balance Alkalizing Blend^® assists the body in achieving a healthy pH balance while supporting detoxification and boosting energy levels. Ingredients include green warriors like organic wheatgrass, organic barley grass, organic spirulina, organic chlorella, organic noni and more. Reaction to the new blends was phenomenal and actually caught us by surprise with customers contacting us with orders even before the trade show launch.

As always, NP Nutra’s trade show veterans; Kris, Thomas, Kareen and Denise, took time away from the stand to check out the very latest ingredient and natural product innovations. Vegan products are hot, hot, hot with ingredient companies debuting vegetarian gel capsules and natural product companies launching numerous new vegan supplement lines. We loved i-Health’s Ovega-3. Sourced from algae it’s a vegan friendly source of DHA and EPA and is also toxin free and sustainable, helping it avoid two of the most troubling issues plaguing the fish oil industry. Also of interest was the plant sourced iron supplement made from curry leaves. Other delicious innovations were functional chocolates (yum!) and functional gummies and chewies.

Engredea is always a fantastic event for NP Nutra^®. We enjoy seeing (and sampling!) the innovation in our field, we enjoy the buzz and atmosphere of the event, but most of all we enjoy meeting you, our valued customers. We like hearing about your needs, your latest projects and your triumphs and we love being able to put a face to the voice we speak to on the telephone.
